Founded by Alex Farlow, who started as a body and coach builder with TBF Thompson, A Farlow Engineering Ltd began in a small garage beside the family home. With vision and dedication, Alex expanded the business over the years, developing fully equipped workshops that now form the heart of our operations.

The company is a true family business, nurtured by Alex, his wife Jean, and their sons Brian and Alan. Brian, passionate about trailers from a young age, has grown that part of the business into a major offering. Alan leads our body building and general engineering efforts, with tipper bodies known throughout the region for durability.

While located in a rural area, our focus has always been on the commercial vehicle, municipal, and quarry sectors rather than agriculture. Our success is built on craftsmanship, customer needs, and a skilled team, many of whom have been with us for years.
